Executive Chef Jose Soto

Executive Chef Jose Soto:

Growing up in Puerto Rico, Jose Soto was surrounded by home cooking. Sharing stories, laughs, and their best recipes with loved ones. To this day, Chef Jose says his mom is the best chef that he knows.

For five years, Chef Soto worked as the Sous Chef under the Grandfather of Texas Cuisine, Dean Fearing, at Fearing’s Restaurant. Under Dean's guidance, Chef Soto learned a lot about Southwestern cuisine. In addition, Chef Soto expanded his culinary knowledge of French cuisine after working for Chef Laurent Tourondel at BLT restaurant in Puerto Rico.

Chef Soto's specialties are Caribbean and Southwestern cuisine, and he enjoys using fresh local ingredients, especially spices and chilies.
